Submit the Master Document for Review as a Rendering Provider

As a rendering provider, you can submit the master document, which includes the details and findings documented in the current encounter. Before you begin Before you submit the master document, ensure that you have a supervising provider assigned to you in System Administrator. System Administrator Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. On Provider Sign Off, select Submit to supervising provider for review. You can submit and review the plan of care based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. On Provider Sign Off, if you are a rendering provider, you can send a request to the supervising provider to review and sign off the Master Im document. If you are a supervising provider, you can review and approve the master document. Configure a Provider for Manual Supervisor Sign-off

You can configure a provider who does not always need a supervisor sign-off on the encounters. Open the Practice Configuration template. In Finalize Visit Settings panel, click the blank field below the Submit to Supervisor Settings grid. The Providers Requiring Supervisors picklist opens. Note: The picklist shows a list of providers that have the Supervisor Required setting in the provider master file in the File Maintenance. Review and Sign Off Care Plans

The Provider Sign Off section enables you to send a request to the supervising physician for review and sign off to indicate that the plan of care provided to the patient is appropriate. The supervising provider can sign-off in the encounter from the Provider Sign Off section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize - Cardiology template. Click the Evaluation and Management Coding section. Select the appropriate provider sign off check box and click Submit Code. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the ePrescribing tab. Select Supervising Physician Required. Modify Provider Information Do one of the following: Select a provider from the Supervising Physician list. For no default provider, clear the Supervising Physician list. If you want the rendering provider to be the supervising physician, select Rendering Provider. Select OK.
