Review and Sign Off the Master Document as a Supervising Provider

As a supervising provider, you can review and sign-off the master document. Before you begin To enable the supervising provider in a practice, you need to select the Supervising provider at this practice check box in File Maintenance. Modify Provider Information Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. On Provider Sign Off, select I have reviewed and agree with the diagnosis and treatment plan. The master document is generated or submitted for an offline generation with the following signature: Visit details reviewed and approved by supervising provider <Name> on <Date>. You can submit and review the plan of care based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. On Provider Sign Off, if you are a rendering provider, you can send a request to the supervising provider to review and sign off the Master Im document. If you are a supervising provider, you can review and approve the master document. The Provider Sign Off panel enables you to submit and review the plan of care based on your role. In File Maintenance, from Master Files > System, select Providers. The Providers List window opens. Double-click a provider. The Modify Provider Information window opens. Select the ePrescribing tab. Select Supervising Physician Required. Modify Provider Information Do one of the following: Select a provider from the Supervising Physician list. Providers Master File

In the Providers master file, you can set up providers who offer a service or refer a patient for a service. You can set the access right for the Provider master file to read-only for user groups. The setting prevents the user group from modifying the master file. For more information on setting up rights and permissions, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise and see Rights and Permissions section. On the Providers List window, you can see the Rendering, Providers and National Provider ID columns. Rendering providers are indicated by a checkmark in the Rendering column. You can set providers as rendering on the Add/Modify Provider Information window of the Practice tab. The National Provider ID column displays the NPI number linked to the provider. Using Provider Approval Queue for Sign-off

When you file a document or patient encounter specifically to a rendering provider, the document appears in the PAQ for the provider in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. All documents require a signature in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR PAQ. Requiring a signature is a setting for the document type assigned to the image. The encounter number appears in the PAQ for the rendering provider. When a document with annotations is saved and posted in NextGen® Document Management, the annotations are not retained when the document appears in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR PAQ. Note: A filed document appears in the PAQ if the Signature Required option is selected and if it includes the Rendering Provider field on the Document Type, even if the document does not have the Encounter Nbr field for you to enter the encounter number.
