Generate Documents

You can generate and print various patient documents such as patient support cases, visit documents, referral thank-you letters, and provider communications on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize - Cardiology template. Click the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. In the Documents section, do the following: To create a patient support case, click Patient Ticket. Using the Patient Ticket button, you can document if the patient accepted or refused the patient support case and add any comments. You can also send copies to another physician or to the NextGen® PxP Portal, if the patient is a participant. To generate a visit document, click Visit Document. Cardiology Provider Workflow on the Finalize Template

The Finalize template allows you to document various patient findings. You can use the Finalize - Cardiology template to do the following. Document assessments, medical decision making, counseling details, and Evaluation and Management (EM or E&M) coding. Submit codes for billing. Open a patient support case, visit document, and referral thank-you letter. Evaluation and Management Coding You can use three types of guidelines to calculate the Evaluation and Management code for Cardiology. Provider Sign Off

You can submit and review the plan of care based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. On Provider Sign Off, if you are a rendering provider, you can send a request to the supervising provider to review and sign off the Master Im document. If you are a supervising provider, you can review and approve the master document. Provider Sign Off Submit the Master Document for Review as a Rendering Provider As a rendering provider, you can submit the master document, which includes the details and findings documented in the current encounter. Finalize Template

Providers can do the following on the Finalize template. Submit and review the plan of care, based on your role in the Provider Sign Off panel. Document Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes in the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. Calculate the medical decision-making level of the patient and submit the E&M codes to the Superbill module. Review the history and physical examination details of the patient in the E&M Level panel to see which elements factor into the calculation of the E&M code under the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines. Review and Sign Off the Master Document as a Supervising Provider

As a supervising provider, you can review and sign-off the master document. Before you begin To enable the supervising provider in a practice, you need to select the Supervising provider at this practice check box in File Maintenance. Modify Provider Information Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. On Provider Sign Off, select I have reviewed and agree with the diagnosis and treatment plan. The master document is generated or submitted for an offline generation with the following signature: Visit details reviewed and approved by supervising provider <Name> on <Date>. The Finalize Template Workflow

You can do the following on the Finalize template: Submit and review the plan of care, based on your role, on the Provider Sign Off panel.
