Remove a Reason for Visit

You can remove a reason for visit for a patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Additional / Manage link in the left pane of the Reason for Visit panel. Select Clear beside the applicable reason for visit field. Select Save & Close. Document Reasons for a Patient's Visit

You can document up to six reasons for a patient's visit during intake. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theIntaketemplate, and then expand theReason for Visitpanel. To add reasons for the patient's visit without opening another template, select Do not launch HPI, and then do one of the following: Select the reason for visit from the left navigation bar. To add a customized reason, enter the reason in Other, and then select Add. Select Additional / Manage, select appropriate reasons from the Reason for Visit window, and then select Save and Close. Note: You can view all the available history of present illnesses (HPIs) by selecting the All hpis checkbox in the Reason for Visit window. To add reasons for the patient's visit with additional details by using another template, clear the Do not launch HPI checkbox, select the necessary reasons, and then select Save & Close . Copy Reasons for Visit from Previous Encounters

You can copy reasons for a patient's visit from previous encounters to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theIntaketemplate, and then expand theReason for Visitpanel. Select HPI History. The Historical Information - HPI window opens. Note: The records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Practice Configuration Template User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria inFilter by, and then selectSearch. Remove Reviewed Diagnostic Studies

You can remove the diagnostic studies from the Reason for Visit panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. In the Reason for Visit panel, do one of the following: Select the Studies Reviewed record from the grid, and then select Remove. Select Diagnostics to open the Diagnostic History Entry template, then select a diagnostic study from the grid, and select Remove from HPI Grid. Note: To turn on the Remove from HPI Grid button, you must select a study that is previously added to the grid on the Diagnostic History Entry template. The Studies Reviewed row no longer appears in the grid of the Reason for Visit panel. Note: Removing the record from the Reason for Visit panel does not remove it from the grid on the Diagnostic History Entry template or the History Summary panel. You can remove the studies reviewed record from the Reason for Visit panel using the History Summary panel. You can remove diagnostic studies from the Reason for Visit panel using the History Summary panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the History Summary panel, select Diagnostic. Select Add/Edit. The Diagnostic History Entry template opens. Select a diagnostic study that is previously added to the Reason for Visit panel. The Remove from HPI Grid button is enabled. Select Remove from HPI Grid. The Studies Reviewed row no longer appears on the Reason for Visit panel. Note: Removing the record from the Reason for Visit panel does not remove it from the grids on the Diagnostic History Entry template or the History Summary panel. Diagnostic studies added to the history of present illness in the Reason for Visit panel appear in the grid with Studies Reviewed in the Reason for Visit column. On the Intake- OPH template, expand the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Studies Reviewed record from the grid. The Remove button will be enabled. Click Remove. The Studies Reviewed record no longer appears in the grid.
