Send a Quick Task

You can send a quick task. The task recipient is configured on the Practice Configuration template. If you do not configure the task recipient in the practice template, you can open the Quick Task Setup template using the Quick Task button the first time, where you can configure the functionality. On the Quick Task Setup template, the Source template field defaults to the template it opens from and the configuration applies to the current user logged on to the system. To open the Quick Task Setup template, and set up a new quick tasking action, use the cog icon to the right of the Quick Task button. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. In the Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link. The Office Services template opens. To send a referral to other staff members for any further action, select Quick Task. The Quick Task Priority or Quick Task Setup template opens. Note: You must select the Allow Override option to open the Quick Task Priority template. On the Quick

You can set up the Quick Task recipients to automatically send the orders to as they are being placed in run-time. You can configure Quick Task recipients from the Practice Configuration template. If the task recipient is not configured, the Quick Task Setup template opens for the first time when you select Quick Task in the run-time template. After you initially set up a quick task, you can open the Quick Task Setup template at any time to set up new tasking actions. Set Up Quick Tasks You can set up Quick Tasks for the first time. Set Up Quick Tasks

You can set up Quick Tasks for the first time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. In the Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link. The Office Services template opens. On the Office Services template, select Quick Task. The Quick Task Setup template opens, and displays Office Services as the source template. Quick Task Setup template From the Task To list, select Individual or Group. From the Recipient list, select individual or group to receive the task. Enter the following information: Select a subject from the Subject list or enter manually. Select a category from the Category list or enter manually. Select the All or Specific option for the location. If you select Specific, then select the location from the list. Note: You can select the location if you select the Specific option. Open the Quick Task Setup

You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. To indicate that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template, in the Quick task section, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated check box. If you click the Launch Quick Task link, the Quick Task Setup template opens. The Quick Task Setup template allows you to configure the task recipient to automatically send the orders that are being placed in run time. Quick Task section The Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task setting are added or updated check box is selected by default. This indicates that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template is a mandatory field. Note: If the task recipient is not configured in the Practice Configuration template, then the system opens the Quick Task Setup template when you click Quick Task on the ordering templates (for example, Add or Update Assessment, My Plan, Office Services, and so on) in run time.
