Quick Tasks

You can set up the Quick Task recipients to automatically send the orders to as they are being placed in run-time. You can configure Quick Task recipients from the Practice Configuration template. If the task recipient is not configured, the Quick Task Setup template opens for the first time when you select Quick Task in the run-time template. After you initially set up a quick task, you can open the Quick Task Setup template at any time to set up new tasking actions. Set Up Quick Tasks You can set up Quick Tasks for the first time. Update Quick Tasks after Initial Setup You can modify a task after Quick Tasks are set up on the Quick Task Setup template. Send a Quick Task You can send a quick task. Configure Task Recipient

On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Quick Task section. Click the Launch Quick Task link. The Quick Tasks Setup template opens. Quick Tasks Setup template Note: The fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory to document. In the Quick Tasks Setup template: The User Name field populates with the current user logged on to the system. If applicable, click User Name and select the applicable provider to associate with the tasking configuration. Click Source template and select a template from the list. Click Task To and select any of the following task types: Individual Group By default, the Priority field value is set to Normal. If applicable, click Priority and select the priority of the task. If applicable, select the Allow to override check box to modify the priority in run time. Open the Quick Task Setup

You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. To indicate that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template, in the Quick task section, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated check box. Configure Quick Tasks for Orders

You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks in the Quick Task Setup template in the Practice Configuration template. After you complete the template configuration, Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) automatically sends the tasks to the configured recipients at runtime. Note: For more information on practice templates, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest Practice Configuration Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System / Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In Show, select the All option. From the templates list, select Practice Configuration, and then select OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. On the Quick Task row, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated check box. In the Quick Task Setup template, the Source template field defaults to the template it opens from and the configuration applies to the current user logged on to the system. To open the Quick Task Setup template at any time and set up a new quick tasking action, use the cog icon to the right of the Quick Task button. Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, click Add/Update. The Add or Update Assessment template opens. To send the referral to other staff members for any further action, click Quick Task.
