template, scroll to the
Quick Task
section.
Click the
Launch Quick Task
link.
The
Quick Tasks Setup
template opens.
Select a row in the grid.
The data populates in the corresponding fields above the grid.
Make relevant edits in the applicable fields.
Click
Update
.
The modified data updates in the grid.

Configure Task Recipient
On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Quick Task section. Click the Launch Quick Task link. The Quick Tasks Setup template opens. Quick Tasks Setup template Note: The fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory to document. In the Quick Tasks Setup template: The User Name field populates with the current user logged on to the system. If applicable, click User Name and select the applicable provider to associate with the tasking configuration. Click Source template and select a template from the list. Click Task To and select any of the following task types: Individual Group By default, the Priority field value is set to Normal. If applicable, click Priority and select the priority of the task. If applicable, select the Allow to override check box to modify the priority in run time. Configuration Option in Quick Task
If you click the Launch Quick Task link, the Quick Task Setup template opens. The Quick Task Setup template allows you to configure the task recipient to automatically send the orders that are being placed in run time. Quick Task section The Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task setting are added or updated check box is selected by default. This indicates that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template is a mandatory field. Note: If the task recipient is not configured in the Practice Configuration template, then the system opens the Quick Task Setup template when you click Quick Task on the ordering templates (for example, Add or Update Assessment, My Plan, Office Services, and so on) in run time. Modify Settings for Task Recipients
You can modify settings configured for task recipients. Open the Quick Task Setup template. Select a row in the grid. Data appear in the corresponding fields above the grid and the Update button is enabled. Make relevant changes. Select Update. The changes appear in the grid. Select Save & Close. Open the Quick Task Setup
You can create a task using Quick Tasks. You can configure the recipients for your orders or tasks using the Practice Configuration practice template. Once configured, the task is automatically sent to the configured recipient at run time. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. Under Show, select All. A list of practice templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and select OK. The Practice Configuration template opens. To indicate that the Category field on the Quick Task Setup template, in the Quick task section, select the Require a Category to be entered when Quick Task settings are added or updated check box. Update Quick Tasks after Initial Setup
You can modify a task after Quick Tasks are set up on the Quick Task Setup template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. In the Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link. The Office Services template opens. On the Office Services template, select Quick Task or . The Quick Task Setup template opens, displaying the existing tasks in the grid. To update a task, select the task in the grid, enter changes in the fields, and select Update. Do one of the following: To save the changes and close the template, select Save & Close. To save the changes and send the task to task recipients, select Save & Send. If you select Save & Send, then select task recipients, and select OK. Parent topic: Quick Tasks

Modify an Interface Details
On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, double-click a row to be edited. The Interface Configuration template opens.
