Prerequisites for PRAPARE® Assessment
You need to configure the PRAPARE® Configuration template to manage score related to each response documented on the PRAPARE® form, set up the risk level associated with the Total Score, and set the pediatric age.
- To calculate the Total Score and Interpretation on the PRAPARE® form, you need to configure:
- Scoring - the system is packaged with preconfigured values provided by the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) in the PRAPARE® Scoring Configuration panel on the PRAPARE® Configuration template. You can edit the existing values. Based on the configuration, a score is assigned to the response captured in the PRAPARE® form.
- Interpretation (risk level) - to set up the risk level associated with the Total Score that appears on the PRAPARE® form, use the PRAPARE® Total Score and Interpretation Configuration panel on the PRAPARE® Configuration template.

To set the pediatric age limit, you need to configure the Peds age for PRAPARE® on the PRAPARE® Configuration template. If you set the pediatric age, the following questions on the PRAPARE® form are not mandatory for the pediatric patients.
- Have you been discharged from the armed forces of the United States?
- During the past year, what was the total combined income for you and the family members you live with? This information will help us determine if you are eligible for any benefits.
- Federal Poverty Level(FPL%)
- What is your main insurance?
Question Not Administered is an additional option available for these questions.
For What is the highest level of school that you have finished? question, if the pediatric patient has selected Less than high school degree, then the Underachievement in School check box appears.
- To push the ICD codes captured on the PRAPARE® form to the Today's Assessments section, you need to configure the Practice Configuration template.
- To include practice-defined questions on the PRAPARE® form, you need to configure the PRAPARE® section on the Practice Configuration template and add the practice-defined questions in the Practice Defined Questions panel on the PRAPARE® Configuration template.
