Office Services

You can place orders and document the test results for a patient using Office Services template.

The Office Services template is used to place orders and document the results of office tests that have been configured as standing orders that are performed routinely by the nurse that come with certain conditions. This template is also used by providers to order, result, and bill in-office tests they perform.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.
    The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens.
  3. In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.
    The Care Guidelines grid view template opens.
  4. In the Recent Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link.
    The Office Services template opens. A list of available standing orders for the practice appear in the Orders grid.
  5. Select an order in the Orders grid.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Select the assessment or diagnosis to associate with the order if it is not set up by the practice. Document any details for the assessment using the fields in the Diagnosis section. You can select assessments from the Diagnosis History, Clinical Problems, or My Favorites grids.
    • Select Add or Update Assessment to select an assessment from the Add or Update Assessments template.
  7. Document results in the Results/Report section:
    • Select the Interpretation from the list or enter text.
    • Select the Details link to open the result template corresponding to the test being documented to enter detailed results. For example, for a CBC with diff, the CBC Manual template opens.

      Enter results and close the template. See detail displays the results entered in the Details field.

    • Select the Clinical Indications field and enter text, if required.
  8. Results entered using the Detail link appear in the Details field. You can enter additional information with text or using My Phrases link.

  9. Select the Submit to Superbill check box if the procedure is being billed.
  10. Select Place Order to place the order.
  11. Select Save & Close, or select Cancel to continue documenting on the Office Services template.
