You can document a point-of-care tests of a patient.
Before you begin
If you order medications from the
Office Services template, first run the
Medications_NDCID_Notmapped Crystal Report to identify National Drug Codes (NDC) for medications that are not mapped. You can then map the medications to the NDC Library.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open the Intake template.
- In the Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link.
The
Office Services template opens.
- To select an order set, select the Display category field, and then select an option from the list.
- In the Orders grid, select an order.
- If you need to add assessment details, then add an assessment and an assessment code for the order.
The Order and Procedure code fields get filled in the Diagnosis section.
- In the Diagnosis section, select the Diagnosis field, and select a diagnosis for the order.
The Diagnosis and Dx Code fields get filled in the Diagnosis section.
- To associate multiple diagnoses with orders for diagnostic tests (radiology studies and labs), select the Associate Diagnoses link.
The Associate Diagnoses template opens.
- In the Results/Report section, enter the interpretation details, flag value, clinical indication, and additional findings.
Note: You can select the My Phrases link to use the default phrases.
- Set up or change tasks.
- Select the Submit to Superbill check box.
- Select Place Order.
Note: If you have ordered medications, you must acknowledge each drug interaction and allergy checks before placing the order.
The order is placed and appears in the Today's Orders grid.
