Document a Treatment Plan
You can document treatment plan for a patient.
Before you begin
- Open the ASC - Physician Procedure template.
- In the Assessment / Plan panel, click the My Plan link.
The My Plan template opens.
- If required, select the assessment in the Today's Assessments field.
The My Plan template, which is part of a group of templates, uses the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The system defaults to the current working assessment. You can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. The selected assessment appears in the Selected Dx field. The system displays the order set for the associated diagnosis category.
- Select the required check boxes for the Labs orders, Diagnostics, Office medications, Office procedures, Office labs, and Additional orders.
- Add the My Instructions details.
- In the Follow-up visit/referral section, select the applicable check boxes and enter the details on the Order Timeframe template.
- Click Place Order.
Perform: today is the default time for these orders.Note: If you order medications on the My Plan template, the drug interaction and allergy check is performed when you place the order, enabling you to acknowledge each interaction and allergy. However, first run the Medications_NDCID_Notmapped Crystal Report to identify National Drug Codes (NDC) for medications that are not mapped, and map them to the NDC Library. For more information on running SAP® Crystal Reports®, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Reports User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. - To select the priority of the task and send the task to the pre-configured recipient, click Quick Task.
- To set up a new quick tasking action, click the cog to open the Quick Task Setup template.
- For follow-up visits, change the Perform date to the time desired in the Appt Timeframe list.
Note: You must finish ordering today’s orders first, then click Place Order, and change the Perform date to do the follow-up visit so the provider does not inadvertently order lab tests that are to be performed in the future.
You can place additional orders for the assessments in the Labs, Diagnostics, and Office Procedures tabs. The follow-up appointments appear in the Assessment / Plan grid.
