Place Orders from the My Plan Template
You can place orders for the patient using the My Plan template.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.
The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens.
- In the Care Guidelines panel, select the Grid View link.
The Care Guidelines grid view template opens.
- Expand the Recent Orders panel and select Add.
The My Plan template opens.
- To use a different template in the orders set, select the tab corresponding to the template to use (for example, Labs or Diagnostics).
- To add or change a diagnosis in the Today's Assessments grid, select Add or Edit.
- To change the current working assessment, select the diagnosis addressed for this encounter in the Today's Assessments grid.
The selected diagnosis appears in the Selected Dx field.
It becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates that share the assessment. When you select a different diagnosis, the My Plan template refreshes the order items. You cannot change the order items listed on other ordering templates. On these templates, the tests ordered are linked to the assessment you select.
- Select the check box corresponding to each item.
- Select Place Order.
- To process lab and radiology orders, select the Lab/Diagnostics/Radiology Order Module Processing link.
The Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template opens.
- Enter the data on the Process and Submit Lab/Radiology Orders template.
- Select Save & Close.

The group of templates that share the selected assessment for the patient.
