Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses

You must first add the category names in the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel before applying the initial setup and building a plan.

  1. Open the Management Plan Setup template.
  2. In the Modify Categories section, on the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel, select the Category name field, and enter a new category name.
  3. Select Add.

  4. In the Modify Management Plan Status section, select the Status name field, and enter the status name.
  5. Select one of the following options for the patient to default to the value entered when you open or close the medical record template:
    • If you select the Default plan status on open option, then the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application message is flagged and appears in the Alerts panel or window that they have an active management plan that needs to be addressed or looked at during that chart.
    • If you select the Default plan status on close option when all plans are closed for a patient, then the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application messages are not triggered to indicate an active management plan.
  6. Select Add.
