Open the Management Plan Setup Practice Template

The practice administration configures the detailed office follow-up plans using the Management Plan Setup practice template. The plans are then applied by providers to the individual patient charts on chart review or at the point of patient care. The configured plans also appear in the Create new management plan panel on the Management Plans template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of system templates appears in the Practice tab. Double-click Management Plan Setup. The Management Plan Setup template opens. You can set up the categories in the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel. After adding the categories, you can configure a management plan in the Management Plan Configuration panel. Communication Using the System/Practice Templates

The Management Plan Setup and Management Plan Reporting practice templates are used for communication with the patients about abnormal findings and their follow-up. Open the Management Plan Setup Practice Template You can add detailed office follow-up plans for a patient. Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses You can add categories in the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel on the Management Plan Setup template. Configure Letters

The Letter Generator panel is designed to add details of different types of letters that are configured by practice administration. The plan letters are generated as documents and saved to patient charts. Letter Generator panel Open the Management Plan Setup template. In the Letter Generator panel, select Add. A new record template opens. New record template Enter a name in the Letter Name field. In the Linked category field, select a linked category from the picklist. In the Plan name field, select a plan name from the picklist to attach the letter to. Enter the salutation in the Salutation field. Enter the letter details in the Body field. Select a language in the Language field if a letter is in a language other than English. Select Save. The information appears in the grid. Access Management Plan Setup Template

The configurable management plan content includes how the practice would like to notify patients of abnormal results. From the File menu, select System/Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, click the All option. A list of system templates displays in the Practice tab. Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses

You must first add the category names in the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel before applying the initial setup and building a plan. Note: The information icon provides instructions to use the template. Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel Open the Management Plan Setup template. In the Modify Categories section, on the Modify Management Plan Categories and Statuses panel, select the Category name field, and enter a new category name. Select Add. Modify Categories section In the Modify Management Plan Status section, select the Status name field, and enter the status name. Select one of the following options for the patient to default to the value entered when you open or close the medical record template: If you select the Default plan status on open option, then the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application message is flagged and appears in the Alerts panel or window that they have an active management plan that needs to be addressed or looked at during
