Remove a Line Item from an Order Set

View Order Set Components

You can add a new order set, modify an existing set, remove a line item from an existing set, or delete an entire order set on the Order Set Configuration panel. On the My Custom Plan Setup template, Order Set Configuration panel, click any field in the top section to choose items from the resulting lists. Order Set Configuration Click OKto return to the My Custom Plan Setup template. The grid automatically refreshes. Note: The Developer, Funding Source, and Reference Updated fields are used to support clinical decisions. The Developer and Funding Source fields can be filled with the developer and funding source names respectively. When a new reference is added, Reference Updated automatically populates with the current date. Add Clinical References to the My Custom Plan Setup

From the NextGen® Enterprise top toolbar, select the File menu and double-click System/Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, under Show, select All. Scroll down to double-click My Custom Plan Setup. On the Order Set Configuration panel, do one of the following: Highlight an Order Set from the grid to update. In the Order Set Name field, click and then click the top, blank row to free text an entry in the field. In the Diagnosis Group field, click to choose a value from the list. Click the Dept. and Provider fields to select an item from the resulting list. Click the Class field to choose an order type from the list. In the Order field, click to select a value. Free text in the Reference field. Note: The Developer, Funding Source, and Reference Updated fields are used to support clinical decisions. The Developer, Funding Source, and Reference Updated fields are used to support clinical decisions. The Developer and Funding Source fields can be updated with the developer’s and funding source’s names, respectively. When a new reference is added, Reference Updated automatically populates with the current date. Field Description Developer Used to support clinical decisions. This is not a mandatory field. The Developer field is used to identify who added or updated the reference. When you select any care guideline reference from the grid that has been packaged by Nextgen Healthcare and if you haven’t configured the selected reference, the system displays the default value, nextgen healthcare, in the Developer field. Otherwise, it displays the respective developer’s name. When any other fields are updated for the selected care guideline in the template, Developer field gets cleared and can be updated with the developer name. Update an Order Set

On the Assessment Plan Customization template, choose a Display option to filter the grid under the Order Sets (My Plan/Custom Plan) section by the Current provider or All providers. Depending on how you configured the order set, select the Diagnosis Group, Provider, and/or Dept fields to select a value from the resulting list. Double-click the order set to be modified in the Order Sets (My Plan / Custom Plan) grid. The Provider's Custom Plan template opens with the items included in the selected order set filled in for the different order types. Make the required changes to the displayed order set. Select Save, and then select Close.The updated data displays in the grid. In the Order Sets (My Plan / Custom Plan) section of the Assessment Plan Customization template, select Save & Close.
