The values in the
Service Item Mstr picklist are configured in a
Service Categories master file called
Behavioral Health. You can modify the list values in File Maintenance.
Once configured, selecting the Service Performed by option in run time under the Behavioral health billing section runs a stored procedure that looks at the content documented in the encounter and the mappings on the Service Code Mapping system template, and fills the Service code and Service description fields if a mapped code is found. If more than one code is found, the user is prompted to select the most accurate service code for the visit.
