Viewing Template Links on the Home Page Template

On the Home Page template, you can view and open links to other templates based on the selected specialty. The recommended workflow for a patient encounter is to begin on the Home Page template. If you set up the Home Page template as the default, then the same template automatically opens as the first template for an encounter. You can also open the generic Home Page template from the Templates module. You can review and document the summary of a patient's problems, history, allergies, medications, vital signs, orders, and so on, on the Home Page template. The Home Page template, associated with various specialties, includes links for the following: Documenting the patients's demographics information Documenting the patients's call and communication details Documenting the provider's test action after reviewing the patient's results Documenting order details Generating information Viewing the patients's history details Links on the Home Page template Managing the Telephone Call Templa

Intake Tab Links

The template includes the following links: Standing Orders: The Standing Orders link opens the Office Services template. The Office Services template enables you to update or place orders, document details of the diagnosis, and bill the orders. Adult Immunization: The Adult Immunization link opens the Immunization - Adult template, enables you to add vaccine, and allergy information for an adult patient. If the patient has any medication or allergy related application messages, enter the alert information in the Alert field. Peds Immunizations: The Peds Immunizations link opens the Immunization - Pediatric template where you add the vaccine, medication, and allergies details of a pediatric patient. My Plan: The My Plan link opens the My Plan template where you can select a diagnosis and place associated orders. Patient Encounter Documentation

You can use NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document patient encounters on the visit types associated with the specialties available. The standard office and virtual visit workflow are documented on the following templates: Intake Histories SOAP Finalize Checkout Note: The workflow may vary with some specialties such as ophthalmology, cardiology, and obstetrics. For more information on the template set used to document a specialty, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the associated user guide. Some common features available in a standard visit template set are the Patient Information Card, panel controls, and links from the navigation bar. Using the Intake and Histories templates, a nurse or medical assistant can document the reasons for visit, medication, allergies, social history, and so on. Open the Patient Demographics Template

You can document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details, on the Patient Demographics template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient record. To open the Patient Demographics template, do one of the following: Open the Templates module, and double-click Patient Demographics in the Demographics tab. On the Home Page template, select the Demographics link. The Patient Demographics template opens. Patient Demographics Add Patient Demographic Information You can add demographic details of a patient on the Patient Demographics template. Editing the Patient's Address History You can view and edit the patient's address history details in the Address panel of the Patient Demographics template. Intake Template Links

You can use the intake template links to document a patient encounter on the Intake and Histories templates. The Checkout template includes the following links: Demographics. Enable you to document patient details such as contact number, address, Primary Care Physician (PCP), primary practice provider, insurance, pharmacy, provider, emergency contact, employment, and reminder details. Order Management. Enables you to update the applicable order details. Document Library Tobacco Cessation. Enables you to document tobacco history details, and medication screening questions. Document Library. Enables you to generate details from a list of documents. Community Resources. Enables you to document local resources and support recommended to the patient to aid in meeting the patients' psychosocial needs.
