You can use the links on the Checkout template which you can further customize. The Checkout template is associated with various specialties and is packaged with the following common links. Viewing Template Links on the Checkout Template

You can customize the links to meet your needs on the Checkout template. The links that appear on the Checkout template may vary depending on the selected specialty. You can customize the links as per your requirements. Issuing Patient Education Documents

The Patient Education panel contains the education documents of a patient that are added to the patient's chart. You can print education documents for a patient by printing them or send the documents to the patient's NextGen® PxP Portal account. When you save a patient education document to an encounter, NextGen® Enterprise EHR moves the document to the Patient Education grid in the Today’s Order panel. Edit Patient Education Documents The Patient Education grid in the Today's Orders panel displays the patient education documents that are added to a patient encounter. Make Education Documents Available to Patients Create Patient Plan Summary Documents You can create a patient plan summary on the Checkout template. Update Check out Statuses of Patients After you complete the patient's checkout process, you can update the status on the Todays Patient Tracking template. Overview of the Checkout Staff Workflow

You can review and generate documents of a patient's checkout process. After completing the intake staff and provider workflow, the front office staff initiates and completes the patient checkout process on the Checkout template to do the following: Review and/or process all orders. Generate lab and/or radiology requisitions, if needed. Generate referral documents, if needed. Schedule future appointments as ordered. Generate the Patient Plan and Checkout documents, if needed. Open the Follow-up or Disposition Template You can document the follow-up details for a patient using the Follow-up/Disposition template. Managing Today's Orders You can process lab or radiology orders documented by the provider on the My Plan template. Histories Tab Links

The Histories template includes the following links: Demographics - The Demographics link displays the Patient Demographics template to enable you to document patient information such as contact information, address details, Primary Care Physician (PCP) details, insurance or pharmacy details, provider details, emergency contact details, reminders, and employment details. Order Management - The Order Management link displays the Order Management template, which enables you to update the applicable order details. Document Library - The Document Library link opens the Documents and Letters template. The Check Out template walks you through scheduling information from the patient visit: E & M Information displays the following: Status of the visit code on the Finalize Visit template and the visit type. Nurse case manager, if it was documented on the Check In template. Co-pay information. Cash Items- displays information from the Cash Supplies template and the green check mark indicates supplies were given and the total cost. Medications Prescribed or Renewed Today- displays medications entered in the current encounter. Next Visit Information- displays information from the encounter if the Upload NV button was selected on the Billable Visit, Fracture Care, or Non-Billable template. This informs staff to schedule an appointment in the NextGen® Enterprise PM.
