Generate Information from Document Library
You can generate patient information using the documents listed on the Documents and Letters template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select the Document Library link. The Documents and Letters template opens. Note: You can access the Document and Letters template using the Document Library link on the navigation bar. Clinical Narratives for Clinical Note Types You can manage various clinical narratives. Add Clinical Narratives You can add clinical narratives for clinical note types for the current encounter. Manage Clinical Narratives You can review, update, remove, or restore clinical narratives using the Clinical Narratives template. Patient Document Generation
You can generate patient documents in NextGen® Enterprise EHR on the workstation you are logged on to or offline on a remote workstation. Before generating a particular document, make sure that you have selected a patient. Also you can check that all the relevant data is entered into the patient medical record. You can select options to save or print a patient document or send it to a patient account on NextGen® PxP Portal website when it is generated. You can create documents in two other ways: A template may be configured with a Launch Document trigger that you can execute to generate a document. Use NextGen® Enterprise EHR Quick View feature to generate a document in real time as you work on a patient encounter. You can then save and attach the document to the patient chart. Generate a Document
Before you begin Each NextGen® Enterprise EHR document requires user rights and permissions to generate, view, and work with the document. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, you can generate, view and work with the documents. Select the patient encounter, that you want to generate a document. To open the Documents module, do one of the following: Select the Documents icon on the Top Toolbar. On the main menu, select File > New > Document. The Generate Document window opens displaying the available documents that are in the Document Folders by default. If the document is in a different folder, select the specific folder or All Documents in the Organize documents section. Note: On the Organize document folders window, if necessary, you can reassign the document to a different folder by dragging and dropping the selected document, or you can delete the document from that folder. Add a Document to a Category
Before you begin You must have the necessary user rights to add a document to a category. You can categorize your documents in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. When you are adding a document initially to an encounter, you can add it to certain categories. If you are adding a document with an existing document name for the encounter, you can not assign, change, or add the document to the categories. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To open the Documents module, do one of the following: On the Top Toolbar, select the Documents icon. On the main menu, select File > New > Document. The Generate Document window opens displaying the available documents. On the Generate Document window, do the following: Select the Categories option.The Categories pane opens within the Generate Document window. Select a document to add it to a category. View Document Information
You can view document and encounter information, file properties, and user permissions for a selected patient document on the Encounter History or Categories tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. To view the properties of a document, do one of the following: Select the Encounter History tab, Select a patient encounter, that contains the document, and select the button to open the Encounter Details window. Print Patient Documents
You can print one or more documents that you have generated. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, generate a new patient document, or open an existing patient document. If desired, preview the patient document before you print it. From the Menu bar, select File > Print, or select the Print icon on the Document bar in the viewer. If you have not previously saved your document, the Save Document window opens. Select OK. The Print window opens. Select the desired printer. To print a group of patient documents, use the Custom Print\Fax function in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select OK to print your document.
