Document Edema Details

The Edema panel displays the edema information for the patient. The edema information can be added, edited, and removed on the PT Edema Details template. On the Objective template, navigate to the Edema panel. Click Add to launch the PT Edema Details template. PT Edema Details Enter the required details. Click Save. Create a DME Order

Outside DME (Durable Medical Equipment) can be documented on the Pt Dme template. The Pt DME template can also be launched from the Outside DME Order link in the navigation bar. On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. Click the DME button to open the Pt DME template. Pt Dme Highlight an assessment in the grid located in the Encounter Diagnoses section to associate with the order. Note: An alert message appears if you attempt to enter a DME type without previously selecting an assessment. Select medical equipment by category of Assistive devices, Supplies, and Splints. Click the Assistive Devices field and select from the picklist. The service item CPT code and ICD code appear in their respective fields automatically. If appropriate, click the Side field and select from the picklist. Repeat step 4 until all items have been selected. Document the Prognosis by selecting one of the available options. Print a DME Order

On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. Click the Generate Note button. Select Durable Medical Equipment document from the list if available documents. A preview appears from which you can choose to print the document. Parent topic: Create a DME Order

Objective Template

The Objective template is used by the provider to review and update previously documented information about the patient such as surgical procedure dates, reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and vital signs. The provider then proceeds to document detailed information for the encounter, such as a physical exam, assessment and plan, observations, goals, treatment, edema, and wounds and incision care. Generate a Note

On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. Click the Generate Note button. A list of available documents appears. Select a document from the list. A preview of the document appears from which you can choose to print the document. Parent topic: Documents and Printing

Sign Off for Chart Review

On the Objective tab, navigate to the Documents and Printing panel. When review and sign-off is completed, do one of the following: Select the I have reviewed and agree with treatment provided check box in the Documents and Printing panel. Select the I certify the need for these services furnished under this plan of treatment while under my care check box. The Supervising therapist or Referring provider field displays the name of the provider logged into the system and the date field displays the current date. Parent topic: Documents and Printing
