Document Cardiac Problems
The Problems panel enables you to document, search for, and select the chronic and secondary conditions of a patient's problems.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open the Histories - Cardiology template.
- Click the Problems panel.
- In the Cardiac Problems List, click a link to open the template.
The template associated with the link opens.
- Enter a date in the Date PopUp template and click Accept.
- In the Comments section, enter the history and details of the problem.
Note: In case the patient has no problems, this field does not need to be added.
- Click Accept.
The resulting window opens with all problems listed on the Problem List.
- Do one of the following on the problem list.
- Choose to add the current problem as a new problem.
- Merge it into an existing problem as a problem note.
- If you want to add a new problem, click Add new problem, and select the appropriate problem description from the resulting window.
- Click Select.
The problem has been added to the Cardiac Problem List, Problem List grid, and Problems module.

- Update Existing Cardiac Problems
During a medical evaluation, if the details of a patient's documented cardiac problem need to be changed, you can modify the problem with the latest details in Problem List on the Histories - Cardiology template. - Set Clinical Status or Resolved Date for Problems
You can set a clinical status or resolved date for a problem on the Problems panel on the Histories-Cardiology template. - Problem List
You can record, modify and manage problems in the Problems List on the Histories-Cardiology template.
