Document Historical Diagnostic Studies
You can enter historical diagnostic study information on the Diagnostic History Entry template on the Histories template.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- Open the Histories template.
- Select the Diagnostic Studies panel.
- Select Add.
The Diagnostic History Entry template opens.
- Select Diagnostic study type and select OK.
- Select Diagnostic study and select OK.
The Procedure code field is filled automatically.
- If the diagnostic study is performed outside your practice, select Ordered elsewhere.
- Select Side and Site from the corresponding lists.
- Select Date performed to enter the date.
Note: If the exact date is unknown, you can select Approximated performed date. NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays the performed or completed date, whichever is available. When both the dates are available, NextGen® Enterprise EHR displays only the completed date.
- Select a Specialty.
- In Performed by, enter the name of the person who performed the diagnostic study.
- In Location, select where the diagnostic is done.
- Enter study result data in the Study Result section.
- Select Add to Grid.

- Select OK.
The entry is added to the grid on Diagnostic Studies.

You can document the diagnostics study results in the Diagnostic History Entry template. - Manage Historical Diagnostic Study
When you modify a historical diagnostics study on the Diagnostic History Entry template, the application automatically updates the corresponding studies reviewed record in the Reason for Visit panel. - Manage Historical Diagnostic Study
