Document the Contagion Risk

You can document the contagion risk. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open any of the standard visit templates. (for example, the Intake template). On the template header, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Contagion Exposure Note: The exposure fields are disabled until you select an exposure from the exposure list. Select one of the following: If you want to display all the exposure details entered in the Contagion Risk template in the encounter document, select Detailed document. If you reviewed and updated any patient exposure details or exposure risk, select Reviewed, updated. If you reviewed the patient exposure details of the patient and made no changes, select Reviewed, no changes. Note: The Last update/detailed doc field indicates when the exposure details are last reviewed and updated. Select the type of contagion from the Exposure list. NextGen® Enterprise EHR automatically updates the Exposure and Incubation fields. No

Contagion Risk

You can document to contagion exposure for patients and their travel to areas at high risk for such exposure. The Contagion Risk link is available on the template header of every template (for example, Home Page, Intake, Histories, SOAP, Finalize, and Checkout). An indicator is displayed next to the Contagion Risk link to indicate whether the patient is at been exposed to contagions. You can view historical details for the risk of exposures to contagions and a patient exposure log on the data grids of the Contagion Exposure template. You can add, update, remove, or deactivate contagion exposure details in the Contagion Exposure History grid when working on an unlocked encounter. You cannot modify information in a locked encounter. The contagions details you entered on the Contagions Exposure template are automatically flagged until you deactivate. Deactivate a Zika Pregnancy Screening Record

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an adult female patient and an encounter. On the Intake template, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Select the record in the Contagion Exposure History grid. Contagion Exposure History Select the Deactivate check box. Select Update. The deactivated date appears in the respective grid row. Note: A deactivated record cannot be updated. The badge count decreases on the patient header after the record is deactivated. The Contagion Exposure Log grid includes the log entry. If you modify any travel data and it is still positive for exposure, the Contagion Exposure History grid data is updated and the Contagion Exposure Log entry is created in the Contagion Exposure Log grid. Contagion Risk

The Contagion Risk link is available on every main Ophthalmic template. The Contagion Risk link and the corresponding badge count are used to indicate when the patient is at risk of being exposed to contagions. The Contagion Risk link opens the Contagion Exposure template. The Contagion Exposure template is used to document patient exposure to contagions and any travel to areas with a high risk of exposure to contagions. You can view historical information for risk of exposures to contagions and an exposure log for the patient in the corresponding grids. You can add, update, remove, or deactivate contagion exposure information from the Contagion Exposure History grid when working on an unlocked encounter. When you enter a contagion on the Contagions Exposure template, the contagion is automatically flagged and remains in the badge count until it is deactivated. Manage Risk Level

You can update or remove a risk level. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open any of the standard visit templates (for example, the Intake template). On the template header, select the Risk Level link. The Risk-Stratification template opens. To update the risk level, do the following:Risk Level Select the risk level you want. The Level selected field appears above the columns indicating the selected level and the application automatically fills the Modified by and Date fields. Enter your comments. Select or clear the following check boxes as applicable: Include on Master document Include on Patient Plan document Select Save & Close. The number appears to the left of the Risk Level with a count indicating the selected risk level (1-6) and associated level color. To remove a risk level, do the following: Select the History link. View a Clinical Reference for Guideline Items

You can view the clinical references for a recommended care and care guideline orderable items on the Activate Care Guidelines template. You can view the web-based clinical reference for recommended care and care guideline orderable items. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel. The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. Select a care guideline item and select the Web button. You can view the addresses of guideline clinical references from the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines grid view template. Activate Guidelines The corresponding clinical reference opens.
