Risk Levels

You can view risk levels for a patient in color-coded columns by using the Risk-Stratification template. On the template header of every template, you can use the Risk Level link which open the Risk-Stratification template. You can also view the selected risk level (1-6) and the associated level color. When Enterprise Chart is enabled, all practices can view the Risk Level link. To enable the Risk Level link on the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates, you must select the Enable Risk Level Stratification check box in the Risk Stratified Levels section on the Practice Configuration practice template. The History link on the Risk-Stratification template displays a patient’s risk level history in data grids. You can add, update, remove, and deactivate patient details from the History grid only when an encounter is unlocked. The history grid shows all changes made to the risk level for the patient, sorted by date in reverse chronological order. You can remove history details from the

Deactivate Contagion Risk Records

You can indicate that a particular type of contagion risk is inactive. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open any of the standard visit templates. (for example, the Intake template). On the template header, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Contagion Exposure Note: The exposure fields are disabled until you select an exposure in the exposure list. Select the type of exposure from the Contagion Exposure History grid. Select the Deactivate check box and select Update. The flag icon disappears in the "*" column and the badge count next to the Contagion Risk link on the template header decreases. Note: You cannot modify a record that is deactivated in the Contagion Exposure template. Parent topic: Contagion Risk

Contagion Risk

The Contagion Risk link is available on every main Ophthalmic template. The Contagion Risk link and the corresponding badge count are used to indicate when the patient is at risk of being exposed to contagions. The Contagion Risk link opens the Contagion Exposure template. The Contagion Exposure template is used to document patient exposure to contagions and any travel to areas with a high risk of exposure to contagions. You can view historical information for risk of exposures to contagions and an exposure log for the patient in the corresponding grids. You can add, update, remove, or deactivate contagion exposure information from the Contagion Exposure History grid when working on an unlocked encounter. When you enter a contagion on the Contagions Exposure template, the contagion is automatically flagged and remains in the badge count until it is deactivated. Document the Contagion Risk

You can document the contagion risk. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On a patient encounter, open any of the standard visit templates. (for example, the Intake template). On the template header, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Contagion Exposure Note: The exposure fields are disabled until you select an exposure from the exposure list. Select one of the following: If you want to display all the exposure details entered in the Contagion Risk template in the encounter document, select Detailed document. If you reviewed and updated any patient exposure details or exposure risk, select Reviewed, updated. If you reviewed the patient exposure details of the patient and made no changes, select Reviewed, no changes. Note: The Last update/detailed doc field indicates when the exposure details are last reviewed and updated. Select the type of contagion from the Exposure list. Patient Information Card You can view pertinent information about a patient through the Patient Information Card (PIC). Deactivate a Zika Pregnancy Screening Record

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select an adult female patient and an encounter. On the Intake template, select the Contagion Risk link. The Contagion Exposure template opens. Select the record in the Contagion Exposure History grid. Contagion Exposure History Select the Deactivate check box. Select Update. The deactivated date appears in the respective grid row. Note: A deactivated record cannot be updated. The badge count decreases on the patient header after the record is deactivated. The Contagion Exposure Log grid includes the log entry. If you modify any travel data and it is still positive for exposure, the Contagion Exposure History grid data is updated and the Contagion Exposure Log entry is created in the Contagion Exposure Log grid.
