Configure the Reason Types for Groups and Options
You can configure a guideline for a patient using the reason types on the Care Guidelines Manage Reason Groups template.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- From File, select System \ Practice Template.
The Select Template window opens.
- On the Practice tab, select the All option.
- Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.
The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens.
- Expand the Manage Groups and Options panel, and then select the reason type link.
The Care Guidelines Manage Reason Groups template opens.
- Select a reason type, and then enter a reason group name.
Note: For the Allergy/Intolerance reason type, you can configure the reaction by selecting the required option in the Allergy/Intolerance Reaction Configuration section.
For the Laboratory reason type, you can configure the results based on Specific Value or Range of Values with the minimum and maximum values in the Laboratory - Reference Range Configuration section.
- For the Laboratory or Procedure reason type, to make the guideline applicable to patients with a recent procedure or patients who have a history of a procedure within a specific time frame, in Findings from last, select the time frame.
- In Description, select a reason group description from the list, and then select OK.
Note: To filter the reason group description, you can enter the initial character.
- Select Add.
The documented details for the reason type appear in the data grid.
