Configure a Finding for the Derm_Exam Profile

Before you begin To configure a new finding, ensure that you have created a new finding. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, select Findings and then select the ellipsis button. The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. To add, remove, or change the order of the finding, do one of the following: To add a finding to the profile, locate the finding and select the check box next to it. To remove a finding, clear the check box. To change the order of the findings, select a finding and use the up and down arrows to move the finding. Note: The order specified here controls the appearance of the selection list of f

Add a Procedure to Findings in the Derm_Exam Profile

The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. Click the finding to which you need to add the procedure.The properties for the selected finding appear on the right. In Settings, click Procedures and then click the ellipsis button.The available procedures for the selected finding appear in the Members pane. The procedures currently assigned to this finding are selected. Note: The selected procedures appear on a selection list. During runtime, you can right-click a Findings grid record, and select Modify, and select the Action

Create and Configure Findings

The GET is delivered with a predefined set of findings for all specialties that employ the tool. The findings are appropriately included in each specialty profile delivered with the GET. If necessary, you can modify and add additional findings. When you add a finding to the GET, you can also do the following: Specify the appearance of the finding when you click the GET exam tool images. Setup the display order of findings. Launch a specific template at runtime for the finding. Add the finding to the derm_exam profile. Add the finding to the appropriate Reason for Visit lists. Optionally, create a template default for the finding. Indicate if multiple instances of the finding are to be grouped on templates. Display an attributes window when you annotate a finding at run time. You can configure each attribute to be a text entry or, for some attributes, you have the option to display a picklist. Set up a default action (procedure) for the finding and create a picklist of actions from whic

Manage Findings for a Reason for Visit

All reasons for visits have defined findings included in their findings list in the GET template. The commonly used findings for that reason for visit appear at the top of the list. The remainder of the findings are arranged in alphabetic order. If you have added a new finding to the GET and the derm_exam profile, you must add that finding to the appropriate reason for visit lists. If necessary, you can remove findings from the list or change the order in which the findings appear on the list. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. Add Assessments to a Common Assessment Page

On the Common Assessments practice template, expand the Manage Common Assessments panel. Click Common assessment page name and select an option from the list. For ICD Version, select ICD-9 codes or ICD-10 codes. Click Item # and select the applicable number. The system automatically fills #1 or uses the next available line for existing common assessments in the Item # field. Click Item to Add and select an option from the list. Note: Based on this selection, the fields are changed. If you select the Description and code option for individual diagnosis codes, the Diagnosis Code Lookup link appears to add description and an associated code in the common assessment list. Click the Diagnosis Code Lookup link to search and select a diagnosis. The selected diagnosis appears in the Description and Code fields. Select Diagnosis and Admitting Diagnosis for a Procedure

You can either enter or search and select a diagnosis for a patient's procedure. You must select at least one diagnosis for the patient. To enter up to 12 diagnoses for a procedure, you must select Allow twelve diagnoses under the EHR tab in thePractice Preferences window in File Maintenance. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open Procedures window in Procedures modules. In Diagnosis field, enter a diagnosis. If a diagnosis code does not exist in the patient's chart, a message appears confirming that add the diagnosis to the patient's chart. To add the diagnosis, select Yes. To continue adding the procedure without adding the diagnosis to the patient's chart, select No. To select a Diagnosis, select the ellipsis button. The search window opens.
