GET Exam Tools

The GET is delivered with a comprehensive set of exam tools. By default, every exam tool that is appropriate for a specialty is included in every reason for visit. You may choose to remove the exam tools from certain reasons for visits to simplify the display. For example, you may remove most exam tools from the acne reason for visit since only the face and body are involved in the exam. When configuring exam tools, you can: Add new exam tools to the GET. Add or change the exam tools defined for the derm_exam profile. Add or change the exam tools defined for each reason for visit. GET Images You can add images to the GET. Before you add an image, you must create the image and store it in the proper location. Add Exam Tools in the GET You can add additional exam tools if you have images that you prefer to use. You can also change the attributes of existing exam tools if needed Manage Exam Tool for a Reason for Visit You can define what exam tool need to appear for each reason for visit.

Additional GET Settings

You can use the GET settings to do the following: Control what elements should appear on the GET tab. Control which columns (GET attributes) should display in the GET Reason for visit grid. Set Show Findings Grid to True so that the information displays in the grid enable you to take an action on the Findings (for example, clicking on a finding in the grid launches the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE template, and clicking Biopsy launches the Biopsy/Destruction/Shave - Procedures template). Practices can decide the following: The Images Toolbar should display alongside the Findings column. Selecting True displays the images (photos) in the column to the left of the findings. This helps to take photos with a digital camera and then save them to the hard drive. Select the photo before placing the marker on the image in GET. This automatically associates the photo to the specific marker finding. Only the Findings column should display (show Finding Images as False). It is possible to attach

Derm Exam Profile

You can modify the derm_exam profile to add elements such as findings, reasons for visit, procedures, attributes and to change tool functions and display using the GET settings. GET profile settings are set for all users at the practice level and cannot be customized for individual users. If a user with permission modifies the GET settings, all users can see those changes. Columns in GET Reason for Visit Grid

The GET is delivered with a set of predefined columns for the Reason for visit grid, which appears below the image on the GET. When you click a location for a particular finding, a record is added to the Reason for visit grid. The data in the Reason for visit grid is not stored in any other location. You must use the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE template to fully document the findings. All defined columns in the set appear in the GET Findings grid. You can remove columns and change the order in which they appear on the grid. Your practice may decide to reduce the number of columns that display. For the average user who will be documenting all exam descriptions, management, and plans on the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE template, the most commonly used columns are Finding Name, Region, Dx1 code, Quantity, and Action. You cannot add any columns to the GET or change the properties of existing columns. You can use the document macro to add the column data to your master document. The column

Configure a Finding for the Derm_Exam Profile

Before you begin To configure a new finding, ensure that you have created a new finding. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, select Findings and then select the ellipsis button. The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. To add, remove, or change the order of the finding, do one of the following: To add a finding to the profile, locate the finding and select the check box next to it. To remove a finding, clear the check box. To change the order of the findings, select a finding and use the up and down arrows to move the finding. Manage Findings for a Reason for Visit

All reasons for visits have defined findings included in their findings list in the GET template. The commonly used findings for that reason for visit appear at the top of the list. The remainder of the findings are arranged in alphabetic order. If you have added a new finding to the GET and the derm_exam profile, you must add that finding to the appropriate reason for visit lists. If necessary, you can remove findings from the list or change the order in which the findings appear on the list. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, click Reasons For Visit and then click the ellipsis button.
