Configuration of Reasons for Visit

You can configure up to 14 chief complaints in the Reason for Visit panel. Each reason for visit is linked to a history of present illness template. You can create and store those links on the Manage Custom Links practice template. Configure Top Physical Exams

You can add a physical exam template that opens through several clicks, for example, the Somatic Dysfunction Findings template, to the top list for easy access. Before including a Physical Exam in the top list, the exam must first exist in the all list. Note: You can include up to 14 physical exam items in the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Physical Exam panel. Set the Filter to top. Click the field above the Physical Exam Item column of the grid. The Udp Custom Link Filter window opens, with values that already exist in the all list specific to the selected specialty. Select an item from the list and click OK. To add an item to appear in the Physical Exam grid, click Add. Ensure that the Physical Exam Items that are included in the top 14 are available in runtime on the SOAP template in the Physical Exam panel. Manage Physical Exam Submenus

You can add or delete a physical exam item from the Physical Exam list. Add a sub-menu to display before or after the selection of the Physical Exam on the Framework Content system template. You can add a sub-menu only if there is a correlating configuration in the Manage Custom Links template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Physical Exam panel. Select the all option. In the grid, select a Physical Exam Item. In the Submenus section, select before and type the items in the fields (for example, left, right, and/or bilateral). Add Exams to the Physical Exam List

You must add physical exams to the all list before adding them to the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Physical Exam panel. Click all. In the filter by gender field, click and select a gender. To select an item, click the field above the Physical Exam Item column. Click OK. The selected item appears in the field. Click Add. The added item appears in the Physical Exam list. To rearrange the items in the Physical Exam list in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. Patient's Physical Exam

You can examine a patient and document the associated information using the Physical Exam panel that displays a list of exam categories. The links that appear are configurable by specialty or by provider. The Physical Exam panel displays the system name, followed by exam findings, and the details. On Physical Exam, you can use the One Page Exam link in the left pane to open the One Page-Physical Exam template, which enables you to document the complete physical exam details on a single template. You can also document a single system exam. Physical Exam panel You can select the Office Diagnostics button to open the Office Services template to view or enter the various diagnostic tests and results. You can configure the physical exam systems in the Framework Content system template. Based on the configuration, the systems appear on Physical Exam of SOAP.
