You must add physical exams to the all list before adding them to the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Click the Physical Exam panel. Click all. In the filter by gender field, click and select a gender. To select an item, click the field above the Physical Exam Item column. Click OK. The selected item appears in the field. Click Add. The added item appears in the Physical Exam list. To rearrange the items in the Physical Exam list in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. Note: Physical exam values are typically organized head-to-toe by the application. You can add or delete a physical exam item from the Physical Exam list. Add a sub-menu to display before or after the selection of the Physical Exam on the Framework Content system template. You can add a sub-menu only if there is a correlating configuration in the Manage Custom Links template. In the Submenus section, select before and type the items in the fields (for example, left, right, and/or bilateral). You can configure the physical exam lists using the Physical Exam panel. You can find two filters on the Physical exam lists. All - All of the configured exams. Top - List of the top 14 exams that the practice uses most frequently and appear in the left pane in the Physical Exam panel. Exams that are included in the top 14 are available in runtime on the SOAP template in the Physical Exam panel. Physical Exam Using Additional option in the left pane, you can access the physical exams that are not listed in the top 14 list. Each physical exam listed in the Physical Exam panel is linked to a template. You can create and store the link on the Manage Custom Links practice template. You can copy physical exam findings from previous encounters of a patient to the current encounter instead of manually adding them. OpenNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open theSOAPtemplate, and then expand thePhysical Exampanel. Select Physical Exam History. The Historical Information window opens. Note: The records are displayed for the default duration configured in the Copy Previous Visit Information section of the Practice Configuration template. To filter the records in the grid, enter the search criteria inFilter by, and then selectSearch. You can document the complete physical examination details of a patient on the SOAP template. The One Page Exam link in the left pane on the Physical Exam panel enables you to open the One Page - Physical Exam template. Note: Based on how the One Page Exam template is configured in the Physical Exam section on the Framework Content system template, and whether the Enable Gender Neutral PE check box is enabled in the SOGI/Transgender section on the Practice Configuration template, a gender-specific or a gender-neutral One Page - Physical Exam template opens. You can examine a patient and document the associated information using the Physical Exam panel that displays a list of exam categories. The links that appear are configurable by specialty or by provider. The Physical Exam panel displays the system name, followed by exam findings, and the details. On Physical Exam, you can use the One Page Exam link in the left pane to open the One Page-Physical Exam template, which enables you to document the complete physical exam details on a single template. You can also document a single system exam. Physical Exam panel You can select the Office Diagnostics button to open the Office Services template to view or enter the various diagnostic tests and results. You can configure the physical exam systems in the Framework Content system template. Based on the configuration, the systems appear on Physical Exam of SOAP.
