Open
NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Open the
SOAP
template.
Click the
Cardiac Orders
panel.
Click the appropriate button for order type. For example, to order lab tests, click
Labs
.
Document the information.

Select the task recipients and click

Order Lab Tests
You can order Lab tests in the Cardiac Orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Labs. The Labs template opens. Labs Select either Fasting or Hold Medication. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the lab order. Select the appropriate lab orders. Click the Ordered by field and select the physician from the resulting list. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following: To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Click Add and then click Done. Add Vital Signs on SOAP
While examining a patient, you can add the patient's vital signs in the Vital Signs panel on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In Vital Signs, select Add. Order Counseling
You can order counseling from the Cardiac orders on the Intake- Cardiology template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Order Procedures
You can order procedures in the Cardiac orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click Procedures. The Procedure Order template opens. Procedure Order Select a procedure from the Non-Invasive or Invasive section. Based on the selected procedure, additional fields appear in the Description section. Select the appropriate options from the Description section. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following. To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to associate it with the procedure. Depending on the procedure, if required, you can add comments in the Additional Information field. Click Add and then click Done. View Order Status
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Orders panel. The Orders panel, by default, displays all of the available orders.
