Order Lab Tests
You can order Lab tests in the Cardiac Orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Labs. The Labs template opens. Labs Select either Fasting or Hold Medication. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the lab order. Select the appropriate lab orders. Click the Ordered by field and select the physician from the resulting list. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following: To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Click Add and then click Done. View Order Status
Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Orders panel. The Orders panel, by default, displays all of the available orders. View Pending Orders and Medication Changes
You can view pending orders and medication changes in the Cardiac orders section on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Pending Orders. The Pending Orders grid opens. Pending Orders Note: The Pending Orders and Medication Changes share the same grid on the panel. When you open Medication Changes, the button for Pending Orders appears below the grid. When you click Pending Orders, the grid changes to Pending Orders, and the button changes to Medication Changes. To view medication changes, click the Medication Changes button. Order Procedures
You can order procedures in the Cardiac orders panel on the Intake template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click Procedures. The Procedure Order template opens. Procedure Order Select a procedure from the Non-Invasive or Invasive section. Based on the selected procedure, additional fields appear in the Description section. Select the appropriate options from the Description section. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following. To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Select a diagnosis from the Diagnosis grid to associate it with the procedure. Depending on the procedure, if required, you can add comments in the Additional Information field. Click Add and then click Done. Create Immunization Orders
You can use the Immunizations template to review immunizations for the patient and to create an immunization record. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Immunizations. The Immunizations template opens. Click New. The Create New Immunization Order template opens. Click plus next to Select Diagnosis to attach a diagnosis to the vaccine. In the Select Vaccines section, click Search All to order vaccines. Note: Vaccines can be searched by vaccine name, CVX code, CPT®4 code, or CPT4 description. There is also an option to search all vaccines or only those within the inventory. The Search Vaccines window opens. Enter the vaccine name, CVX code, CPT4 code, or CPT4 description. Select the Search inventory only or Search all vaccines option. Click Find. Document Doctor Visits
You can document doctor visits by type. For ease of use, you can configure appointment locations on the Card Setup Appt Locations practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake - Cardiology template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Click Doctor Visits. The Doctor Visits template opens. Doctor Visits In Type, select a type you want to document. Note: The NGShare option is available only for those providers who have enrolled in NextGen® Share. You can select the NGShare option to access the Referrals Order template. To select an ordering physician from the resulting list, click the Ordered by field. To select an appropriate reason for the visit, click the Reason field. To select a location, click the Location field. To document a time for the order, do one of the following. To select an option for an appointment, click the When field. To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the order. Click Add and then click Do
