Order Lab Tests

You can order Lab tests in the Cardiac Orders panel on the Intake template.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Intake - Cardiology template.
3. Click the Cardiac Orders panel.
4. Click Labs.
   The Labs template opens.

   

5. Select either Fasting or Hold Medication.
6. Select a diagnosis in the grid to associate it with the lab order.
7. Select the appropriate lab orders.
8. Click the Ordered by field and select the physician from the resulting list.
9. To select a location, click the Location field.
10. To document a time for the order, do one of the following:
    • To select an option for an appointment, click the When field.
    • To select a scheduled appointment, click Appt.
11. Click Add and then click Done.
