ASC - Scheduling Questions Template

The ASC Scheduling Questions template is documented by the scheduler by obtaining necessary information from the patient prior to the day of procedure. The Scheduler contacts the patient to obtain the information required to appropriately schedule the patient for the procedure. Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery Template

The Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template of the Procedure Preadmission visit type displays the data documented in the previous and/or current encounter by the scheduler or clinical support staff in the ASC - Scheduling Questions and ASC - Pre admission templates. This home page also displays the data documented by the provider and nurse in the framework template sets of the Procedure visit type, when the case ID of the encounters is same. Click the home icon on the navigational bar to access the Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template. The scheduler or clinical support staff can review the documented data by the provider and proceed with the workflow in the ASC- Scheduling Questions template or ASC - Pre admission template. Access the Template Set Associated with the Procedure Preadmission Visit Type

The Procedure Preadmission visit type includes a framework template set that enables scheduler or clinical support staff to document the pre-admission details required prior to beginning a procedure. Note: Virtual visits use the same template set as the Procedure Preadmission visit type. The instructions provided for the Procedure Preadmission visit type in the following sections are also applicable for virtual visits. If you have not configured the Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template to open as the default template for a new encounter, perform the following steps to access the template set associated with the Procedure Preadmission visit type. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates . On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. In Show, click All. Select Home Page from the list o

Patient Pre Admission Instructions Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Patient Pre Admission Instructions panel displays the pre-admission instructions configured for a procedure. In addition, the answers selected for certain interview questions also add the pre-admission instructions to the panel grid. The pre-admission patient instructions are pre-configured on the ASC Preadmission Activity Config practice template. This panel also allows the clinical support staff to add any new patient instructions. After you review or add patient instructions, select the Sign off check box. The Completed by field populates with the user name currently logged on to the system. The Date and Time fields populate with the current date and time of sign off. You can click the clock to add the current system time in the Time field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, the data entered in this panel on the ASC - Pre admission template appears in the Patient Pre Admission Instructions panel on the ASC templates in the next encounters. Procedure Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Procedure panel displays the procedure details documented by the scheduler in the Procedure panel on the ASC - Screening Questions template. The clinical support staff can review the documented data and make the applicable changes. If the case ID of the two encounters is the same, the details documented in this panel on the ASC - Pre admission template carry forward to the Procedure panel on the ASC templates in another encounter. Document the Pre-Procedure Care Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Pre admission template enables you to document patient consent, bill of rights, language preferred by the patient to communicate, and pre-procedure care checklist. Pre-Procedure Care If the case ID of the encounters is identical, the data entered in this panel on the ASC - Pre admission template appears in the corresponding fields of the Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Preprocedure template.
