Workflow for Sensitive Flagging in the LOINC® Code System

Before you begin

To flag the encounters as sensitive, you must select the Enable Sensitive Encounter checkbox on the Practice Configuration template. To add the data elements for the code system, you must configure the Sensitive Encounter Configuration template.   1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
  2. Select a patient record, and then open a new encounter.
  3. In the left pane, select Orders.
    The Order Module template opens.
  4. In Orders Summary, select New.
    The Create New Lab Order for (patient's name) template opens.
  5. Select the applicable test, then select Save.
  6. Open the Intake template, and then select a specialty and visit type.
  7. Open the Finalize template, and then add an assessment in the Today's Assessment panel.
  8. In the Evaluation and Management Coding panel, select a complexity level, and then select Submit Code.
    The sensitive encounter flag indicator appears in the encounters list.
