Reporting CPT® II Claims Based Measure on Finalize

You can activate the claims-based reporting on the Finalize template. Practices who use CPT II procedure codes for claims-based measure reporting can use the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel on the Finalize template to submit CPT II codes. To activate the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel, you must turn on the Assign diagnosis code to CPT II on Finalize option in the Practice Configuration template. When a patient encounter documentation is saved, and it meets the CPT II code criteria configured on the Coded Results Mapping template, the CPT II code is automatically sent to the Finalize template. You can view the CPT II codes that are assigned during the patient encounter in the CPT II Claims Based Measure Reporting panel. You can then submit the CPT II codes to the Superbill directly on the Finalize template. The information icon on the Today’s CPT II Codes grid provides instructions on how to use the Finalize template to assign diagnosis codes to the CPT II codes

The Finalize Template Workflow

You can do the following on the Finalize template: Submit and review the plan of care, based on your role, on the Provider Sign Off panel. Document Evaluation and Management (E&M) codes on the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. Calculate the patient's medical-decision-making level and submit the E&M codes to the Superbill module. Review the patient's history and physical examination details on the E&M Level panel and identify factors in the calculation of the E&M code under the 95 or 97 Coding Guidelines. Document Procedure Billing

On the Finalize template, go to the Dermatology Procedure Billing panel. Select Show Dermatology Charges only. If you select Show All Encounter Charges, any general procedures entered also appear in the grid. The dermatology procedure details are available in the grid. Double-click the dermatology procedure details in the grid.The Procedure Billing template opens. Update the information, if required. Click Save. To add another set of procedure billing details, click Clear For Add. When you have entered all the required procedure billing data, click Close.The data appears in the data grid in the Dermatology Procedure Billing panel. To verify the charges, click the Verify Charges button.The selected Charges verified check box appears. To prevent the charges for the encounter from billing, select the Surgery Hold check box. Add Visit Code Modifiers

You can add or replace visit code modifiers. After you have calculated or selected a visit code on the Finalize (BH) template, the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine may add modifiers to the visit code based on coding rules. You can also manually add up to two modifiers for each visit code and edit the modifiers. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For a patient record, open a new encounter. Open the Finalize (BH) template. Expand the Evaluation and Management Coding panel. To add a modifier to a visit code, select Modifier(s) under the corresponding visit code, and then select a code from the list. To replace the modifier of a visit code, select a modifier, and then select another modifier from the list. Cardiology Provider Workflow on the Finalize Template

The Finalize template allows you to document various patient findings. You can use the Finalize - Cardiology template to do the following. Document assessments, medical decision making, counseling details, and Evaluation and Management (EM or E&M) coding. Submit codes for billing. Open a patient support case, visit document, and referral thank-you letter. Evaluation and Management Coding You can use three types of guidelines to calculate the Evaluation and Management code for Cardiology. Generate Documents You can generate and print various patient documents such as patient support cases, visit documents, referral thank-you letters, and provider communications on the Finalize - Cardiology template. Review and Sign Off Care Plans The Provider Sign Off section enables you to send a request to the supervising physician for review and sign off to indicate that the plan of care provided to the patient is appropriate. Manage Visit Code Modifiers for Virtual Visit Billing

You can add or edit the visit code modifiers for virtual visit billing. After you have selected a visit code in the Virtual Visit Billing panel of the Finalize template, modifier codes are added to the visit code based on the billing rules configured using Virtual Visit Payer Configuration. You can edit the modifier codes that appear and add modifier codes. You can use up to two modifier codes for each visit code. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. Expand the Virtual Visit Billing panel. To add a modifier, select the blank modifier field in the visit code, select the modifier and then select OK.The selected modifier is added to the modifier field.
