You can add or replace visit code modifiers.
After you have calculated or selected a visit code on the Finalize (BH) template, the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine may add modifiers to the visit code based on coding rules. You can also manually add up to two modifiers for each visit code and edit the modifiers.
- Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
- For a patient record, open a new encounter.
- Open the Finalize (BH) template.
- Expand the Evaluation and Management Coding panel.
- To add a modifier to a visit code, select Modifier(s) under the corresponding visit code, and then select a code from the list.
- To replace the modifier of a visit code, select a modifier, and then select another modifier from the list.
