Submit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing

You can document the virtual visit details of a patient on the Virtual Visit Billing section, and submit the codes to Superbill for a virtual visit. Before you begin You must configure the virtual visit billing rules using the Virtual Visit Payer Configuration practice template. Configure the list of provider and patient locations using the Virtual Visit Location custom DB picklist. Manage Visit Codes for Virtual Visit Billing

You can enter up to three visit codes for virtual visit billing. Before you begin To display all the necessary codes in the grid, you must add the codes to the relevant Service Categories in File Maintenance. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. Expand the Virtual Visit Billing panel. To add a visit code, select the visit code from the grid. Manage Visit Code Modifiers for Virtual Visit Billing

You can add or edit the visit code modifiers for virtual visit billing. After you have selected a visit code in the Virtual Visit Billing panel of the Finalize template, modifier codes are added to the visit code based on the billing rules configured using Virtual Visit Payer Configuration. You can edit the modifier codes that appear and add modifier codes. You can use up to two modifier codes for each visit code. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. Expand the Virtual Visit Billing panel. To add a modifier, select the blank modifier field in the visit code, select the modifier and then select OK.The selected modifier is added to the modifier field. Document the Time Details for Virtual Visit Billing

You can document the time details for virtual visit billing. You can document the face-to-face, virtual, and visit time details for virtual visits. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Finalize template. Expand the Virtual Visit Billing panel. To document the time details, do one of the following: To calculate the total time using start and stop time, you can either select the time using and then select OK, or enter the start and stop time, and select Calculate. To enter the total time directly, select the relevant field under Total, select the time interval, and then select OK, or select Cancel to enter the time interval in the field. Configure Categories for Virtual Visit Types

You can configure category lists for virtual visit billing. You can add service categories and codes to this category list. Before you begin In Service Categories in File Maintenance, you must add the necessary service category.
