Setup Requirements for a Pediatrics Specialty

You can set up certain basic configurations for a Pediatric specialty. Problem Notes

You can add a note to the problem, and the new note appears in Problem Notes grid. You can configure a default view option to filter notes with the Problem List Note setting on the Practice Configuration practice template. Documenting Problem Notes

You can document a problem note for a patient problem. If you add a note to a problem, the note appears when the corresponding problem is selected in the grid. If notes are not added, you can add a note to the problem, and the note appears in Problem Notes. You can use Most Recent Note by Current User to view authored notes, and Most Recent Note to view notes entered by other users. The notes entered by other users are read-only. The View all notes link allows you to view all the problem notes associated with the selected problem. Configuration Options in Assessment Section

You can configure multiple assessment options available in the section. The configuration in the Assessment section applies to diagnosis fields. Assessment section The Assessment section allows you to configure the following options: Assessment Status - If you select the Require Assessment Status checkbox: The provider must select the assessment status to add the assessment in the Today's Assessments grid on the run-time Add or Update Assessment template. The Status field on the Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan History template becomes mandatory, and the system displays a message stating that the status is mandatory in red font. Also, Copy All Dx/AP on the Diagnosis, Assessment/Plan History template will be hidden. Setup a Default Assessment Page

You can setup a default assessment page for a practice or a provider. On the Specialty Common Assess Config practice template, expand the Manage Common Assessment Pages and Links panel. In the Common Assessment Pages grid, select the desired assessment page. In the field below the Rendering column of the Common Assessment Pages grid, select a practice or provider. Open the Problem Notes

Add notes to a problem in Problems module in the Problem Notes window. The View/Add Notes button enables you to view or add notes to a problem in the Problems module. Select the patient's encounter that contains the problem. Select the problem in the Problem List. Do one of the following: Right-click the problem, and then select View/Add Notes. On the problem list data entry area toolbar, select View/Add Notes. The Problem Notes window opens.
