You can set the pronoun of a patient in all the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine template concatenations, documents, and macros with the Pronoun to be Used for Concatenation field under the SOGI/Transgender section.
The Pronoun to be Used for Concatenation field allows you to set the pronoun of a patient, either as The patient or The client, or you can leave the field blank.
- On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the SOGI/Transgender section.
- For Pronoun to be Used for Concatenation, select The patient or The client.
Note: By default, the field is blank. If the field is left blank, the system will take the default pronoun based on the patient's birth sex.
- Select Save and Close.
