The gender-neutral ROS option allows a provider to easily toggle between male and female tabs during review of systems, regardless of a patient’s birth sex.
When the gender-neutral ROS option is turned on, providers can open the gender-neutral Reproductive ROS template and easily toggle between male and female tabs during the review of systems, regardless of a patient’s birth sex.
- On the Practice Configuration template, go to the SOGI/Transgender section.
- To turn on the gender-neutral ROS option for Reproductive ROS template, select the Enable Gender Neutral ROS option.
Note: If a patient's gender is unknown (U) or undifferentiated (O), providers can open the gender-neutral Reproductive system template from the Review of Systems panel of the Intake and SOAP templates, irrespective of whether the gender neutral ROS option is turned on or not.
- Scroll the template and then select Save and Close.
