Configure the Gender Specific Review of Systems

You can configure a gender-specific system from the Review of Systems panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Review of Systems panel. In the Custom Review of Systems section, select gender specific. Custom Review of Systems In Caption, type One Page ROS. Note: The caption is the same for all genders. To configure the gender, do one of the following. For female, select pc_ros_female. For male, select pc_ros_male. For undifferentiated, select pc_ros_neutral. For unknown, select pc_ros_neutral. Configuration of Review of Systems Lists

You can configure the systems listed in the left pane of the Review of Systems panel. You can assign up to 14 systems to the Review of Systems listing. Review of Systems Configure All Gender Review of Systems You can configure a One Page ROS template for all genders, that allows you to open an all-gender ROS template, regardless of a patient’s birth sex. Configure the Gender Specific Review of Systems You can configure a gender-specific system from the Review of Systems panel. Document the Review of Systems Findings

You can document the findings of a patient's review of systems for multiple systems using a single template or a single system. Before you begin The One Page ROS option opens a gender-specific or gender-neutral Review of Systems (ROS) template based on the configuration of the Review of Systems section on the Framework Content system template. The Select other ROS option displays the practice's systems configured on the Framework Content system template. You can configure the gender-neutral Reproductive ROS template based on the configuration of the SOGI/Transgender section on the Practice Configuration template. Record Review of Systems Findings

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Comp Assessment tab, expand the Review of Systems panel. Select Primary Care ROS - Male/Female from the left pane. The gender-specific ROS [Male or Female] template opens. ROS-Male Select the Neg (Negative) or Pos (Positive) option for each condition within the system groups. If you want to mark all the conditions as neg for a system, select the All neg checkbox for that system. You can also select the system-specific links to document detailed information on that specific system. If you want to document normal values in all the sections, in the ROS Defaults field, select the appropriate one-page default template from the list. All the fields in the template are filled with normal values to allow for charting by exception. Enable Gender Neutral Review of Systems

The gender-neutral ROS option allows a provider to easily toggle between male and female tabs during review of systems, regardless of a patient’s birth sex. When the gender-neutral ROS option is turned on, providers can open the gender-neutral Reproductive ROS template and easily toggle between male and female tabs during the review of systems, regardless of a patient’s birth sex. On the Practice Configuration template, go to the SOGI/Transgender section. SOGI/Transgender section To turn on the gender-neutral ROS option for Reproductive ROS template, select the Enable Gender Neutral ROS option. Note: If a patient's gender is unknown (U) or undifferentiated (O), providers can open the gender-neutral Reproductive system template from the Review of Systems panel of the Intake and SOAP templates, irrespective of whether the gender neutral ROS option is turned on or not. Manage Pediatric ROS Findings

You can add or edit symptoms entered during the intake process in the Review of Systems panel on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. To document multiple systems on one template in the Review of Systems panel, do the following: Click the one page Pediatric ROS link in the left pane. Note: The one page Pediatric ROS link opens a gender-specific or gender-neutral ROS template based on the configuration done in the Framework Content system template. Based on your preference, you can also add a caption for the one page Pediatric ROS link in the Framework Content system template.
