Set Home Page as the Default Template

You can either open the generic Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery template from the Templates module or set it up as the default template that automatically starts as the first template for a new encounter.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Select Tools and select Preferences from the menu bar.
   

3. Select the Templates tab.
4. From the Default Template list, select gi_home_page.
   

5. Select Apply and then select OK to save the new preference.
   When you open a new encounter in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, the Home Page - Ambulatory Surgery starts and displays the Udp Visit Types list to select a visit type.
