Documentation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template
The Documentation panel allows you to document the procedure details. In this panel, the provider can document details of single or multiple procedures. You can also document any additional findings associated with a procedure. Generate Documents on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template
The following two buttons are available at the bottom of the ASC - Physician Procedure template: Button Function Procedure Letter Select to generate the Asc_Ref_Proc_Phy_proc_letter document for the referring providers as a reference to the procedure performed on the patient. Generate Document Select to generate encounter based document Or, Select the drop-down arrow on the button and select a procedure from the list to generate the procedure based document. The procedure note document includes all the details and the images associated with the selected procedure. Note: The system generates the referral note with the procedure document if you select the Generate Procedure Letter on generation of the Procedure document checbox in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Auto Billing Functionality
The Auto Billing button uploads the billing data in the Procedure Billing panel. To turn on the autotomatic billing functionality, the value selected in the Documentation panel and/or the Findings panel must be associated with the procedure diagnosis and billing data such as Proc description, Proc code, Mod 1, Mod 2, Common diagnosis framework reference system, and Diagnosis group in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template. Note: In the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, if a value entered in the Documentation panel does not include a procedure code, then the system assigns default procedure code in the run-time template. Procedure Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template
In the Procedure panel, the provider can document procedure details to be performed on the patient. For information on the Procedure panel documentation, see Procedure Panel on the ASC - Scheduling Questions Template. If the case ID of encounters is the same, the procedure details documented by the scheduler or clinical support staff on the Procedure Preadmission Visit Type carry forward to the Procedure panel on the Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next subsequent encounters. Procedure Orders on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template
The Procedure Orders panel displays the procedure orders documented by the physicians on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In this panel, the system fills the Ordered by field automatically with the provider name selected from the Anesthesia provider field in the General panel on the ASC templates. The Anesthesiologist can review the existing procedure orders and document any new orders in this panel.
