Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Procedure Orders panel allows the providers to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. For more information on procedure order configuration, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction Practice Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Procedure Orders If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then system displays the procedure in the Procedure field. If the current encounter includes more than one procedure, the system displays first procedure in the Procedure field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, then the procedure orders documented in the panel carry forward to the Procedure Orders panel on the other Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next encounters with the same case ID. IV Panel on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The IV panel displays the IV details documented on the ASC - Preprocedure, ASC - Intraprocedure, and ASC - Postprocedure templates. Sedation Panel on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The Sedation panel allows you to view the sedation information documented by the physicians on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Note: If the case ID of the encounters is the same, the anesthesia details entered in the Sedation panel in the current encounter display in the next subsequent encounters within the same case ID. Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel includes the medications and allergy information documented in the ASC - Preprocedure,ASC - Intraprocedure, and ASC - Physician Procedure templates. The Anesthesiologist reviews and adds or updates the medications or allergy details as appropriate. For more information on the Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel documentation, see Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template. In the Pre-procedure Evaluation panel, you can select the No or Yes option for the Patient remains an appropriate candidate to undergo the planned procedure checkbox after reviewing the required documented data and entering the sedation details. This indicates whether or not you can consider for any planned sedation for the patient. The Documentation Log panel displays procedure related entries documented on the ASC - Preprocedure, ASC - Intraprocedure, and ASC - Postprocedure templates. The Anesthesiologist can review the procedure details and add a follow-up entry to the existing entries in the grid, and/or add a new entry in the panel.
