Sedation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Sedation panel allows you to document details of the anesthesia to be given to the patient and specify whether or not the patient needs anesthesia. Sedation If anesthesia is required for the patient, select the Sedation required checkbox. Note: If the Sedation required checkbox is selected in the General panel, the Sedation required checkbox auto-selects in the Sedation panel. Select Anesthesia type and select the type of anesthesia to be given. The name of the current user appears in the corresponding Entered by field. Select Post op pain management and select an appropriate value from the list. The name of the current user appears in the corresponding Entered by field.If you select Other from the list, you can type the appropriate details in the Post op pain management field. Procedure Orders on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The Procedure Orders panel displays the procedure orders documented by the physicians on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. In this panel, the system fills the Ordered by field automatically with the provider name selected from the Anesthesia provider field in the General panel on the ASC templates. The Anesthesiologist can review the existing procedure orders and document any new orders in this panel. Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Anesthesiology Template

The Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel includes the medications and allergy information documented in the ASC - Preprocedure,ASC - Intraprocedure, and ASC - Physician Procedure templates. The Anesthesiologist reviews and adds or updates the medications or allergy details as appropriate. For more information on the Pre-Procedure Evaluation panel documentation, see Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template. In the Pre-procedure Evaluation panel, you can select the No or Yes option for the Patient remains an appropriate candidate to undergo the planned procedure checkbox after reviewing the required documented data and entering the sedation details. This indicates whether or not you can consider for any planned sedation for the patient.
