Procedure Orders Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Procedure Orders panel allows the providers to document the procedure orders. The procedure orders are pre-configured on the Procedure Orders and Discharge Instructions practice template. For more information on procedure order configuration, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Order & Discharge Instruction Practice Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Procedure Orders If the current encounter includes only one procedure, then system displays the procedure in the Procedure field. If the current encounter includes more than one procedure, the system displays first procedure in the Procedure field. If the case ID of the encounters is the same, then the procedure orders documented in the panel carry forward to the Procedure Orders panel on the other Ambulatory Surgery framework templates in the next encounters with the same case ID. Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Pre-procedure Evaluation panel allows you to view and add patient's physical exam findings and generate the ASC Chart Note document after review and signoff. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. After entering the appropriate data in the Physical Exam, select the No or Yes option for the Patient remains an appropriate candidate to undergo the planned procedure checbox to indicate whether or not the physician can consider performing any further planned procedures on the patient. Use the General Panel on the ASC - Scheduling Questions Template

You can document general information on the procedure using the General panel. The General panel includes fields such as scheduled date and time of the procedure, location where the procedure is to be performed, and the rendering provider, specialty physician, and/or anesthesia provider involved during various stages of procedure. Select the Established patient or New patient option. General Panel If applicable, select the Historian field and select the historian providing the information on the patient's medical condition. The Sedation panel allows you to view the sedation information documented by the physicians on the ASC - Physician Procedure template. Note: If the case ID of the encounters is the same, the anesthesia details entered in the Sedation panel in the current encounter display in the next subsequent encounters within the same case ID.
