Use the General Panel on the ASC - Scheduling Questions Template

You can document general information on the procedure using the General panel.

The General panel includes fields such as scheduled date and time of the procedure, location where the procedure is to be performed, and the rendering provider, specialty physician, and/or anesthesia provider involved during various stages of procedure.

  1. Select the Established patient or New patient option.

  2. If applicable, select the Historian field and select the historian providing the information on the patient's medical condition.
  3. Select the following fields and select appropriate providers from the corresponding list:
    • Rendering provider
    • Primary specialty physician
    • Anesthesia provider

      To clear the values from the provider fields, double-click the blank space in the respective list.

  4. If the patient needs sedation for the procedure, select the Sedation required checkbox.
  5. Select Procedure date and select the date of the procedure from the calendar.
  6. Select the clock to enter the current system time in the Procedure time field.
    You can select the list to open the Time Entry template and manually enter the accurate time of procedure.
  7. Select Location and select the location where the procedure is to be performed.
  8. Select the Findings Recipients link to open the Patient Providers template.
    1. Enter the provider details to send the procedure results/findings.
    2. Select Save & Close.
    The selected providers appear in the Copies to fields.

    If the case ID of the encounters is identical, the details documented in the General panel on the ASC - Screening Questions template copy forward to the General panel on the ASC - Screening Questions template and the ASC - Intake template in a new encounter.
