Document the Review of Systems

You can document the findings of a patient's review of systems for multiple systems using a single template or a single system. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Intake template, in the Review of Systems panel, select ROS - Allergy/Immunology from the left pane. The ROS - Allergy/Immunology template opens. ROS - Allergy/Immunology Select the Pos or Neg option for each symptom reported by the patient. To enter other associated symptoms, select the Pos option for Other, and then select a symptom from the list. To enter other pertinent negatives, select the Neg option for Other, and then select a symptom from the list. Select Save & Close. Parent topic: Intake Staff Workflow

Recording Patient Details in the Intake Workflow

During check-in, the intake staff can use the Intake template to document a patient details, such as the chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders, and various other findings. Panel Description General To document the patient's general information. Reason for Visit To document the reasons for the patient's visit. History Summary To document the patient's past medical history, social, medical or surgical, diagnostic study, and family histories. Note: The History Summary section displays the patient history documented on the Histories template . Vital Signs To document and manage the patient's vital signs. Medications To view the patient's current medications and medication history. You can also enter additional prescriptions and reconcile the listed medications with the actual active medications. Allergies To add the patient's known allergies. Orders To view, process, manage, add, edit, remove, and place follow-up orders for the patient. Review of Systems You

Intake Template

You can use the Intake template to document the patient information. You can document the following details of the patient in the various sections of the Intake template: General information of the patient Reason for the patient's to visit Patient's history Patient's Assessments Patient Medications Patient's allergies Vital Signs Patient's Orders Review of systems Patient Education Start a Dermatology Encounter Patient's General Information You can document a patient's general information on the Intake template. Add a Reason for Visit You can document the History of Present Illness (HPI), problems, as the reason for a patient visit. Review of Systems for Well Child

You can review and update a patient's symptoms entered during the intake process in the Review of Systems panel on the Pediatric SOAP template. To document symptoms for multiple systems on a single template, you can click Pediatric ROS or other systems listed in the left pane. The systems listed in the left pane are configured on the Framework Content system template. Review of Systems You can copy the previous review of systems records to the current encounter using the ROS History button. Manage Pediatric ROS Findings

You can add or edit symptoms entered during the intake process in the Review of Systems panel on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. To document multiple systems on one template in the Review of Systems panel, do the following: Click the one page Pediatric ROS link in the left pane. Note: The one page Pediatric ROS link opens a gender-specific or gender-neutral ROS template based on the configuration done in the Framework Content system template. Based on your preference, you can also add a caption for the one page Pediatric ROS link in the Framework Content system template.
