Intake Staff Workflow

The intake staff can use the Intake template to document a patient's chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders, and various other findings. The intake staff workflow involves documenting the patient encounter on the Intake and Histories templates. The information documented by the intake staff is used by the provider for reference and to proceed with the encounter. Open the Home Page Template You can obtain the patient summary on the Home Page template. Orders

You can add and manage the orders for a patient. You can view, process, manage, add, and place a follow-up order from the Orders panel. It also includes links to process lab and radiology orders, open the Order Management template, open the Immunizations template, open standing orders on the Office Services template, create tasks on the To Do template, and document the education provided to a patient. Orders Panel The View All Orders link is selected by default. The other options to view include Labs, Diagnostics, Office Services, Immunizations Today, Surgical Procedures, Referrals, and Patient Education. You can select a row in the grid and select Edit to open the Orders Edit template, and update the order details. The Education material provided section allows you to provide patient education documents and indicate if they are provided in the patient's preferred language and FDA-approved. Recording Patient Details in the Intake Workflow

During check-in, the intake staff can use the Intake template to document a patient details, such as the chief complaint, vital signs, medications, allergies, standing orders, and various other findings. Panel Description General To document the patient's general information. Reason for Visit To document the reasons for the patient's visit. History Summary To document the patient's past medical history, social, medical or surgical, diagnostic study, and family histories. Note: The History Summary section displays the patient history documented on the Histories template . Vital Signs To document and manage the patient's vital signs. Medications To view the patient's current medications and medication history. You can also enter additional prescriptions and reconcile the listed medications with the actual active medications. Histories Template

You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. The Histories template enables you to document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history. You can also add skin cancer details. Documenting a Patient's History Summary You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details from the History Summary panel. You can add, update, delete, and review a patient's history summary details. You can document a patient's social history, problem list, medical or surgical history, diagnostic study history, and family history on the Histories template.
