Document Point-of-Care Test

You can document a point-of-care tests of a patient.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Intake template.
3. In the Orders panel, select the Standing Orders link.
   The Office Services template opens.
4. To select an order set, select the Display category field, and then select an option from the list.
5. In the Orders grid, select an order.
   The Order and Procedure code fields are filled in the Diagnosis section.

   Note: If you need to add assessment details, then add an assessment and an assessment code for the order.
6. In the Diagnosis section, select the Diagnosis field, and select a diagnosis for the order.
   The Diagnosis and Dx Code fields are filled in the Diagnosis section.
7. To associate multiple diagnoses with orders for diagnostic tests (radiology studies and labs), select the Associate Diagnoses link.
   The Associate Diagnoses template opens.
8. In the Results/Report section, enter the interpretation details, flag value, clinical indication, and additional findings.
   Note: You can select the My Phrases link to use the default phrases.
9. Set up or change tasks.
10. Select the Submit to Superbill checkbox.
11. Select Place Order.
    Note: If you have ordered medications, you must acknowledge each drug interaction and allergy checks before placing the order.
    The order is placed and appears in the Today's Orders grid.
